Montreal Canadiens take flight with Air Canada away jersey patch partnership: Agreement deepens 40-plus year relationship between NHL franchise and airline.

The National Hockey League’s (NHLMontreal Canadiens have announced a jersey patch partnership with Air Canada.

Contract:

  • Multi-year deal will see Air Canada logo feature on Canadiens away jerseys
  • At the end of each season, the Air Canada Foundation and the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation will auction off a set of game-worn road jerseys, with all proceeds benefiting local children’s charities which aims to inspire access to ice hockey for young Canadiens fans

Context:

The tie-up deepens a 40-plus year partnership between the Canadiens and Air Canada, with the away patch deal arriving after the NHL allowed teams from last year to advertise a partner’s logo on their game jerseys. The Canadiens’ home jersey patch sponsor is Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), which inked a multi-year deal in 2022.
