Arsenal extend ‘UK£60m-a-year’ Adidas kit deal until 2030

English soccer club’s new agreement with German sporstwear giant to place greater focus on women’s team.

Arsenal have signed an extension of their technical partnership with Adidas, which will continue as the team’s kit supplier until 2030.

Adidas replaced rival German sportswear brand Puma as the Premier League club’s kit supplier ahead of the 2019/20 season, signing a five-year deal reportedly worth UK£60 million (US$66.33 million) annually, totalling UK£300 million (US$332.12 million).

Financial terms of the new agreement have not been reported.

The renewal will place greater focus on Arsenal’s women’s team, with enhanced marketing rights that will aim to raise the global profile of the Women’s Super League (WSL) side.

Adidas will also lend its expertise to support Arsenal’s sustainability strategy, with the brand currently working towards its goal to replace all virgin polyester with recycled polyester in its products by 2024 wherever possible.

The pair have recently collaborated in various other initiatives. In January, the Gunners ylaunched the ‘No More Red’ campaign in partnership with Adidas, which saw the team wear all-white kits to raise awareness of knife crime in London.

“We’re delighted to agree a new partnership with Adidas until 2030,” said Juliet Slot, Arsenal’s chief commercial officer. “The long-term nature of our extension means there’s a real commitment to build on this brilliant collaboration, with astrong focus on growing women’s football and developing our sustainability strategy.

“Since we’ve been reunited, we’ve driven initiatives and investment in our local communities, and developed exciting and bold product ranges for our players and supporters alike. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made together and we’re excited to take our partnership forward.”

Kasper Rorsted, chief executive of Adidas, added: “The work we have done with Arsenal has broken new ground in football partnerships and both on and off the pitch Arsenal continues to be at the forefront of the sport.

“We’re truly excited to continue to support both the men’s and women’s teams, delivering the very best for the athlete.
