Sports drinks brand replaces Gatorade as club’s hydration partner.
Spanish soccer champions Barcelona have announced Prime as their official hydration partner, inking a three-year deal with the sports drinks brand founded by social media influencers JJ ‘KSI’ Olatunji and Logan Paul.
Contract:
- Prime’s hydration products to be visible during games and training sessions involving Barca’s men’s, women’s and youth teams
- Drinks brand also secures visibility in teams’ dressing rooms and in the indoor Palau Blaugrana arena
Context:
Prime replaces Gatorade as Barca’s hydration partner. The LaLiga club is also the latest sports entity to partner with the drinks brand, following in the footsteps of Arsenal and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
“We are very proud to sign this sponsorship agreement with Prime, a brand with major international projection and which is the result of the passion and dedication of its promoters, Logan Paul and KSI,” said Juli Guiu, Barcelona vice president of marketing.
“This is also a strategic deal for the club that will help to connect with younger audiences around the world, who are big fans of an innovative product that encourages rehydration and means people can enjoy doing sport even more.”
Coming next:
Prime branding will be on display at Barca’s first home game of the 2023/24 LaLiga season against Cádiz on 20th August.
