Manchester United renew UK£900m Adidas kit deal

Sportswear giant to pay UK£150m more than its previous ten-year deal with English soccer giants.

English soccer giants Manchester Untied have renewed their kit supplier partnership with Adidas for a further ten years through to 2035.

Contract:

  • Deal includes a minimum cash guarantee of UK£900 million (US$1.16 billion) across the ten years
  • New deal ‘increases the focus on the Manchester United women’s team’
  • United’s latest annual report confirms the agreement with Adidas links a part of the yearly payments to their participation in the Uefa Champions League
  • Annual payments will be reduced by 30 per cent should the club fail to qualify for the competition in two consecutive seasons

Context:

Adidas returned as United’s kit supplier ahead of the 2015/26 season, with the original ten-year deal worth UK£750 million (US$964.29 million) in total.
