Chris once entered a long drive competition as he can achieve ball speeds in excess of 200mph. However, whilst playing the 9th hole on the Brabazon course at The Belfry, he once shanked a shot and hit a bystander in the face. With that kind of ball speed, it’s no surprise he broke his jaw.

For several years, Shaun struggled to break through the main circuit. So much so, he had planned to quit snooker in 2005 shortly before the World Championship. However, he had already paid his entry fee to the event and his friends and family encouraged him to give it one more go. After winning two qualifying events, he made it through to the main event and won all of his matches, lifting the trophy at the Crucible to become World Champion.
