Sun protection brand to work with innovative developmental program
Sun protection brand to work with innovative developmental program: TRAKSTAR, the pioneering developmental series for the next generation of professional British golfers is proud to announce a partnership with Solex. The program sees seven of the UK’s leading golf prospects compete across the calendar year, with points accumulated across events held on all of the major developmental tours. Uniquely, this allows an order of merit to be created from golfers plying their trade across the European Challenge Tour, Alps Tour, Sunshine Tour, Clutch Pro Tour, Tartan Tour, and others; with the ambition that the players advance through the rankings to one of the world’s leading schedules; namely the DP World Tour or PGA TOUR.
Solex has already partnered with many of Europe’s leading prospects as a sponsor and partner for the European Challenge Tour’s Race to Mallorca. With the product incredibly well received by the tour’s players, Solex has extended its relationship with the Challenge Tour for the 2024 season also becoming it’s official sun protection partner. The innovate foam applicator allows for suncream to be evenly applied across the skin in a hands-free fashion, ideal for golfers looking to maintain a firm grip on their clubs. The product also features a twist on/off design to prevent wastage, as well as a loop for attaching it to a golf bag, and a mirror to help ensure even distribution of sun cream.
Another facet to the TRAKSTAR series is the off-course events held by the tour, and powered by Rocket Yard Sports, Hype Sports Management, and Glistian Events. These business networking events bring together individuals from across a variety of industries in a competitive environment. Players from the TRAKSTAR series are in attendance at each event, as are representatives from TRAK Employment Solutions, the tour’s headline sponsor, and a leading recruitment specialist. The events proved a huge success in 2023 at locations including; Pitch London, Kempton Park Racecourse, Q-Shoreditch, and The Principality Stadium. The events schedule has been extended for 2024, with more than 75 guests slated to be in attendance throughout the year.
Of the partnership, Jake Townsend, Founder and CEO of Solex said: “We’re delighted to be working with the sport’s next generation of professional talent through the TRAKSTAR series. Golfers are outdoors more than almost any other athlete, and with more than 80% of all skin cancers being preventable with adequate protection, our ambition is to continue to raise awareness of the benefits of suncream – with its use amongst golfers aided by the sports-centric nature of our product”.
