Farmers Insurance has officially signed on as a “Founding Partner” and the “Official Insurance Partner” of TGL — the new primetime team golf league presented by SoFi.
The deal marks a significant commercial partnership for TGL’s second season, reinforcing its growing status in the golf world.
What is TGL?
TGL is a technology-driven team golf league created through TMRW Sports, a venture involving iconic golfers Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in partnership with the PGA Tour.
The inaugural TGL season kicked off in January 2025, featuring six teams each with four players — all top names from the PGA Tour — competing in a mix of simulated long-game play and real-life short-game challenges, inside a purpose-built indoor venue, the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Matches are broadcast live (in the U.S. on ESPN / ESPN+), with UK viewers able to watch on Sky Sports Golf.
Why the partnership matters
By joining TGL as a founding partner and its Official Insurance Partner, Farmers Insurance demonstrates confidence in the league’s vision — blending high-profile golf talents with a fresh, fan-friendly format designed for primetime television.
For TGL, having an established brand such as Farmers Insurance on board adds credibility and signals strong commercial support, which could help the league expand its reach and appeal.
