Welsh Fire, one of the most electrifying franchises in The Hundred, the showpiece tournament hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board, is teaming up with Yellow Panther to build a brand-new official website for their fanbase. Welsh Fire, co-owned by Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Washington Freedom, and will be the fifth cricket team brought under the Yellow Panther umbrella.
The new site is set to launch at the end of January, marking a major step in Welsh Fire’s digital evolution and the next chapter in how the club connects with its supporters.
Fans can expect a platform built for speed, impact, and pure energy, with dynamic matchday coverage and navigation so slick it’s a breeze to follow Welsh Fire wherever you are, stadium to sofa.
The upcoming platform will deliver a refreshed fan experience through features that are bold, dynamic, and designed for today’s digital audience:
• A clean, modern homepage designed around match moments, stories, and real-time updates
• Player profiles with stats, media, and personality-driven content
• Fast, intuitive navigation to fixtures, results, and key information
• Rich editorial space for news, behind-the-scenes stories, and club insights
• Social media wall to integrate seamlessly with the website and the latest news on social channels
• A mobile-first experience optimised for fans on the move
• Seamless integration with future fan-engagement tools powered and quizzes to give fans the chance to shape the team and experience the matches
The Welsh Fire brand provides us the opportunity to do something new and exciting. The Hundred franchise is fun, fresh, and engaging, and this website reflects that ambition. It’s not about selling tickets, it’s about being part of a collective that fuels the fire of the cricket team. As we continue to add to the website, we’ll look to incorporate technology such as quizzes and polls to increase fan engagement and make them feel like it’s a destination site all year round.
The project is led by Yellow Panther, a global digital tech provider trusted by major sports names including Premier Padel, the LNB, the International Skating Union, and Glamorgan Cricket. We make fast, beautiful, high-impact platforms for serious sports brands, combining content systems, fan experience expertise, and robust digital infrastructure.
“Welsh Fire is an exciting brand that has major plans to benefit the wider cricket community in Wales,” said Stuart Cope, COO & Founder of Yellow Panther. “We’re thrilled to help raise their digital game with a platform that’s bold, modern, and built for fans. First and foremost, our vision is to help grow the brand and hook more fans into watching Welsh Fire at Sophia Gardens for 2026 and beyond!”
The new Welsh Fire website is targeted to launch by the end of January.
